Welcome to our website and to San Antonio!  The Division of Neurology under the Department of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, extend to you an open door. Here at UTHSCSA we offer our Neurology residency and fellowship training programs in Neurophysiology, Cerebrovascular, and Research.

Our primary clinical partners are the University Health Systems and the South Texas Veterans Hospital, Audie Murphy Division. Together they provide 1000 hospital beds for the care of the citizens of south Texas. The partnership between our medical school and these hospitals has created a highly fertile environment for the development of our academic programs.

San Antonio is one of the largest cities in Texas with a small city ambience.  As being home to the Alamo, we are becoming a city for our growing research.  Our population is a little over a million.  Hispanics are the ethnic majority (53%), with Caucasians being second (36%), and an ever growing multi-ethnic community as new industry comes to San Antonio.  This is a city rich in culture and history and due to the increasing diversity much is more to come.  Come and explore what we have to offer.
