Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship

Thank you for your interest in the Medical Oncology/Hematology fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. We are currently accepting applications for 2009.

 

Our goal is to prepare fellows for successful academic careers in medical oncology and/or hematology. Upon completion of our training program, our graduates are able to care for patients, submit tightly-reasoned fundable grant proposals, establish a research program, publish papers, teach students and housestaff, and prepare lucid handouts and lectures.

 

To help fellows attain these skills, we have designed a coherent training program with a step-by-step progression of events integrating clinical training, research experience, and acquisition of teaching skills. Graduates of our program will not only develop and sharpen these skills, but will also be highly competitive for academic faculty positions.
