Fellowship Program - Application Information
Applicants for our fellowship program must clear a screening process to ensure that they are not listed by a federal agency as excluded, suspended, or otherwise ineligible for participation in federal programs. The University of Texas Health Science Center will perform the screening for you at no cost.
Trainees will be selected from among applicants who have completed an internship, two years of residency in internal medicine, are Board-eligible in internal medicine, and are citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
We accept four new trainees per year.
Selection of trainees will be based upon the following criteria:
- a desire to consider pursuit of a career in academic medical oncology/hematology;
- completion of a quality U.S., Canadian, or Puerto Rican residency in general internal medicine;
- a record of scholarship and achievement indicating promise as an academic investigator; and
- a desire to obtain research experience in the programs described.
