Gastroenterology and Nutrition fellowship
The Division is committed to training excellent Internal Medicine physicians to become Gastroenterologists possessing a superb fund of knowledge, keen diagnostic acumen, technical and procedural excellence, and a commitment to delivering compassionate medical care and advancing the art of Medicine. Our goal is to train physicians who aspire to be both thoughtful, astute diagnosticians and expert endoscopists and who will leave our program prepared for success in either clinical practice or academic medicine. Our three-year fellowship program accepts two fellows each year.
- We participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).
- Applications for the fellowship training program must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents of the U.S., or J-1 Visa Holders for fellowship positions at UTHSCSA. We do not accept applications from H1B1 visa holders.
- Courses in conducting research are available to help fellows interested in research.
